HDR Breach Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Housing Disrepair Breach Litigation Supervisor/team leader to lead and develop a team handling housing disrepair breach and enforcement proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished and authorised litigator with strong leadership skills to play a pivotal role in driving performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. You will supervise a team of fee earners managing post-settlement breach matters, enforcement actions, and related litigation, while maintaining high standards of legal and regulatory compliance. • Supervise and support a team of litigation fee earners handling housing disrepair breach and enforcement matters.
• Monitor caseload progression, productivity, KPIs, workflow management and compliance with internal procedures and court deadlines.
• Conduct regular file reviews to ensure quality, risk management, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on breach applications, enforcement proceedings, contempt matters, injunctions, and associated litigation processes.
• Assist with complex case strategy and provide support on higher-value or technically challenging matters.
• Deliver coaching, mentoring, and performance management to maximise team capability and results.
• Identify training needs and develop team knowledge through regular workshops and individual development plans.
• Work closely with senior management to achieve departmental objectives and service standards.
• Produce management information and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, CPR requirements, and firm policies.
• Maintain the highest standards of client care and professional conduct.

  Must be an Authorised Person, such as a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive with appropriate practising rights, or other appropriately authorised legal professional entitled to conduct reserved legal activities.
• Significant experience handling housing disrepair litigation.
• Strong knowledge of breach proceedings, enforcement actions, and post-settlement litigation.
• Proven experience supervising, mentoring, or managing litigation teams.
• Excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, housing litigation practice and case law.
• Ability to provide technical supervision and legal sign-off where required.
• Ability to positively motivate and support team members.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
• Excellent communication, client care, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment whilst maintaining exceptional client care.
