HCA / Rehabilitation Assistant

Essex Partnership University Trust (EPUT) is currently looking to recruit HCA/Rehabilitation Assistants (Health Care Assistants in our rehab team) to join our community rehabilitation service., The Collaborative Care Team is a multi-disciplinary therapy led team providing rapid assessment and rehabilitation for patients living within their own homes. The team support the facilitation of discharge and the prevention of admission for patients who require rehabilitation for a range of conditions including stroke, orthopaedics and unstable fracture management; neurological issues and jointly works with Frailty Virtual Ward team and service.

As part of our friendly supportive team, you will be providing person centred care and supportive recovery. The service is provided across the whole of the South East Essex area including Castlepoint, Rochford and Southend and as such, it is essential that any applicant is able to travel efficiently and effectively across this area.

The successful candidate will support people with personal care and assist in the provision of rehabilitation programmes during a range of shift patterns over seven days per week, in line with service needs. Candidates should be motivated, willing to learn and be enthusiastic and demonstrate good interpersonal skills when communicating with patients, families, carers and colleagues.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
