Full Job Description
We have a great opportunity to join our Orthopaedics and Spinal Ward at The London Clinic. You will work with a supportive clinical team and care for patients before and after orthopaedic and spinal surgery. Your care and attention will make an important difference during each patient's recovery. You will help patients with their personal care, movement and daily needs while encouraging them to regain their confidence and independence., Help patients with washing, dressing, toileting and other personal care while protecting their dignity. Support patients to move, change position and walk safely as they recover from surgery. Help patients with eating and drinking to support their health and recovery. Check and record temperature, pulse, blood pressure, breathing rate, oxygen levels and fluid balance. Tell the registered nurse immediately if you notice a change in a patient's condition. Listen to patients and provide reassurance when they are in pain, worried or less independent. Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, relatives and colleagues. Keep patient information private and secure. Help maintain a clean, safe and well organised ward. Follow infection prevention and patient safety procedures. Use equipment safely and report any faults. Complete tasks given to you by a registered nurse when you have the correct training and skills. Attend training and keep your knowledge and skills up to date.
