Handy man

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team at a caring and professional nursing home. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents, staff, and visitors., Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting)
Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety and compliance
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to residents
Maintain outdoor areas, including basic gardening and seasonal upkeep
Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and safety systems
Liaise with external contractors when required
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman role
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Friendly, patient, and respectful attitude, especially when interacting with elderly residents
