An exciting opportunity has arisen in QVH working as a Hand Fellow in Plastic Surgery. This will be an opportunity to further develop and enhance your skills. The Fellow will participate in service commitments with the opportunity for audit and research., The Fellow will be expected to assist Consultants in the operating theatre and will undertake emergency surgery personally, with supervision when appropriate. Assist in elective and emergency hand surgery list with a view to developing experience and confidence in the core procedures of hand surgical practice. The post holder will gain experience in more complex cases including wrist surgery (including arthroscopy), microsurgery and congenital upper limb surgery.. It is the responsibility of the Fellow to ensure that communication within the Plastic Surgery service is as effective as possible keeping both the Consultants and Senior Nursing staff informed of the clinical management of all patients with plastic surgery input. There is a thriving teaching and research climate and the Fellow will be encouraged to participate, with potential for developing an academic profile.
