Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Haematology Specialist Nurse (Band 6) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse with a passion for cancer care to provide specialist support to patients diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Haematology consultants, clinical nurse specialists and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the cancer pathway.Main duties of the job Key Responsibilitieso Act as a key worker for patients with Haematology disorderso Provide specialist clinical advice, support, and education to patients and their families.o Coordinate care across diagnostic, treatment, and follow-up pathways.o Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.o Deliver nurse-led SACT clinics.o Support patients in treatment decision-making and symptom management.o Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.o Maintain accurate clinical documentation and data collection in line with Trust and national standards You will provide clinical leadership and expertise in all aspects of haematological nursing. You will provide information, support, advice and specialist knowledge to patients, their families and carers. You will act as a resource to the multi-professional team.
