Full Job Description

The post is based in the Gynaecological Oncology team at Hammersmith Hospital, which is the largest centre for the treatment of gynaecological cancers in Northwest London. The post offers an opportunity to take up 75% clinical work, with exposure to all aspects of the treatment of gynaecological cancers through surgery, while allowing significant time (25%) for dedicated research into gynaecological cancers, experience in radical surgical treatments or leadership / management experience according to the trainee's needs. The post will be for 6 months, but may be extended. The post is suitable for trainees of ST6 grade or higher. They must have completed IMT (or equivalent) and hold MRCP, and are looking to gain expertise in Gynaecological Oncology alongside gaining experience in a related aspect such as research, procedures or management., The trainee will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking care for women with suspected and diagnosed gynaecological cancer. All aspects relating to the highest standards of care will the taught. They will have opportunities to cover both clinical and surgical care for patients on the gynaecological oncology pathway. The MDT clinic runs once a week each Monday and there are theatre lists to support across 4 days per week. There will be a degree of flexibility to accommodate the successful candidate's preferences and interest alongside the needs of the service.

Depending on experience £44,170 - £67,610 per annum +LDN Weighting + 1B banding
