Gym Instructor / Lifeguard - Didsbury, Manchester

The Gym Instructor / Lifeguard plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Leisure Club, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience for all members and guests. This dual-role position is responsible for gym supervision, pool safety, customer engagement, and the delivery of excellent service standards across the facility.,

• Support the smooth daily operation of the Leisure Club, maintaining high safety and service standards at all times.
• Supervise gym users, ensuring correct equipment use and member safety.
• Conduct 1-to-1 gym appointments, including fitness assessments, screenings, and tailored training plans.
• Provide guidance on lifestyle changes, health improvement, and basic dietary considerations.
• Maintain vigilant supervision of the swimming pool, identifying risks and responding swiftly to emergencies.
• Carry out pool rescues and administer first aid when required.
• Complete cleaning and maintenance schedules, reporting faults or safety concerns promptly.
• Deliver consistently high levels of customer service, presenting a professional, friendly, and approachable manner at all times.
• Assist with fitness classes where qualified (desirable but not essential).
  
  Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Confident, polite, and approachable, with the ability to engage a diverse membership base of over 7,000 members.
• Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings (from 6:00am) and late evenings (up to 10:15pm).
• Ability to teach group exercise classes is desirable but not essential.
• GCSEs or equivalent qualification preferred.
