Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Group Scrum Master to be based at customer's site Gaydon Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery. Role Summary As a Group Scrum Master, you will facilitate and embed Agile and Scrum practices across one or more software delivery teams. You will ensure that sprint execution, velocity, and Program Increment (PI) objectives remain aligned with Product Management expectations, while enabling predictable, high-quality delivery. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, servant leadership, and the ability to operate across distributed global teams. Function Overview Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) is a core and growing capability within Tata Technologies Limited, delivering complex engineering and digital solutions for global clients. This role supports JLR Global Digital Development programmes, working closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders across multiple delivery centres Area of Responsibility

  • Work closely with Product Owners to enable successful delivery of global software programs
  • Support Agile delivery across co-located and distributed teams
  • Ensure alignment across multiple workstreams feeding into software engineering programs
  • Proactively identify dependencies, delivery risks, and mitigation actions.

  • Work closely with Product Owners to enable successful delivery of global software programs Support Agile delivery across co-located and distributed teams
  • Ensure alignment across multiple workstreams feeding into software engineering programs Proactively identify dependencies, delivery risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and support Agile and Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, PI events) across co-located and virtual teams
  • Ensure Sprint and PI objectives are clearly defined, tracked, and achieved
  • Act as a servant leader, enabling team effectiveness while constructively challenging the status quo without impacting delivery commitments
  • Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and impediments, ensuring timely resolution
  • Maintain strong stakeholder communication, providing regular and transparent status updates
  • Ensure consistent Agile ways of working across all contributing teams and workstream

    Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software delivery across the full SDLC Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with SDLC automation and toolchains
  • Hands-on experience managing backlogs, ceremonies, and reporting using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to manage delivery across multiple teams and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong balance between short-term execution and medium-term planning Preferred
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM / SAFe Scrum Master)
  • PMP certification
