Full Job Description
Every week we move millions of products to our customers at record speeds. Brilliant customer experiences at this kind of pace, require fresh and appealing products to be available whenever and however our customers shop with us. And in this area of our business, we help to make sure that happens. By engineering innovative, smart technology, we put the tools in our colleagues' hands to power a global supply chain. Whether it's wine from New Zealand or milk from the local dairy farm, our tech performs. We solve problems at scale. We process billions of records, predicting and planning to make our customers lives easier. We keep our warehouses and stores operating smoothly around the clock, because what's important to our customers, is important to us. We work with one of the most valuable product data sets in the country, building scalable, high-performance products that support an outstanding customer experience. You'll be joining a team shaping the Commercial Product Data solution landscape and transforming how we manage product data, trading and compliance. Our work spans global programmes, alongside building automated compliance dataflows, vendor integrations, and platform capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve data quality. Different teams across logistics, digital, legal and retail rely on this data in different ways, making data quality and integrity critical to how the business operates. This is a cross-functional, high-impact role operating at the centre of our SAP Core Commercial Transformation Programme. Working across Product, Engineering, Business Process, Change and Support teams, you'll bring structure, alignment and clarity to a complex platform landscape. You'll combine strategic product thinking with hands-on delivery, balancing transformation priorities, operational performance and continuous improvement to drive successful business outcomes More about the role This an exciting role, operating at the centre of the Core Commercial Transformation Programme. To help us deliver our ambitions, you'll be expected to:
- Own the end-to-end effectiveness of the platform operating model, ensuring teams, processes and governance structures work together to deliver successful business outcomes.
- Establish and continuously improve ways of working across Product, Engineering, Business Process, Business Change and Support teams, driving efficiency, transparency and alignment.
- Lead the Product demand-to-delivery process, ensuring business demand is assessed, prioritised and progressed through delivery with clear ownership, governance and visibility.
- Maintain oversight of platform delivery and backlog health, balancing strategic transformation initiatives, upgrades, operational priorities, technology improvements, decommissioning strategies and risk remediation activities.
- Build strong partnerships across business and technology teams, managing dependencies, aligning priorities and enabling successful delivery across multiple platforms and stakeholder groups.
- Oversee platform service performance, including support processes, defect triage and operational governance, ensuring critical business services remain stable, resilient and fit for purpose.
- Lead and develop a team of Product Managers and Analysts, setting clear goals and direction, driving effective prioritisation and focus, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and adoption across the platform.
Experience operating within complex ERP, technology or business transformation environments, with a strong understanding of how platforms, processes and teams work together to deliver business value. Direct SAP experience, ideally gained through a large-scale transformation or implementation, is highly desirable. - Strong understanding of operating model design, governance and organisational effectiveness, with a track record of establishing and improving ways of working across multiple teams and functions.
- Able to translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable technology outcomes, whist communicating technical concepts in way that is accessible and meaningful to business stakeholders.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to bring together diverse team, build alignment and drive outcomes across Product, Engineering, Business Process, Change, and Support functions.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous and evolving environments, bringing structure to complexity, establishing clarity where processes and responsibilities are not yet fully defined, and helping teams focus on prioritising and delivering meaningful Commercial outcomes.
