Grounds Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Monmouthshire to assist with the appointment of a Grounds Operative, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., Support the delivery of a safe, clean, and sustainable environment through grounds maintenance and street services. This role involves maintaining public spaces, green areas, and community facilities, ensuring high environmental standards across the County., Carry out grass cutting using hand-held and ride-on equipment
Maintain parks, open spaces, schools, and landscaped areas
Undertake planting, horticultural maintenance, and landscaping tasks
Support cemetery duties including grave digging (with training)
Maintain sports pitches and facilities

Full, clean driving licence
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit (lifting, bending, manual handling required)
Understanding of health & safety practices
Flexible and reliable approach to working hours
Relevant grounds maintenance or horticulture experience (preferred)
