Full Job Description
Lead the transformation of Erewash's green spaces and street scenes. Make a lasting impact in your community. Erewash Borough Council is looking for a dedicated and proactive Green Space and Street Scene Supervisor to join Environmental and Community Services. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality services across parks, play areas, and public spaces - ensuring they are safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone. Your Role:
- Supervise teams working across iconic green spaces like Victoria Park, West Park, and Pewit Coronation Meadows.
- Manage grounds maintenance, play area inspections, sports pitch upkeep, landscaping, and street cleansing.
- Respond to issues such as fly-tipping, vandalism, and safety hazards with practical, timely solutions.
- Support borough-wide events with traffic management and site preparation.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of play areas and street scene enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and council policies.
- Monitor contractor performance and maintain inspection schedules.
