Full Job Description
Graduate Teaching Assistant
Required for September 2026
Salary: Point 7-11 (Actual Salary £23,589 - £24,997)
Permanent Contract
Term Time Only - 32½ hours per week
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified graduate teaching assistant to work with pupils in our primary phase. You will be expected to support pupils' learning in the mainstream and to provide PPA cover when necessary.
Candidates will need to hold a Bachelor's Degree and GCSE Grade 4/C or higher in English Language and Maths (or a recognised equivalent qualification). Candidates should indicate any subject or specialism, which may help to match them to pupil needs. This post would particularly suit someone considering a career in teaching in the future.
This role is not for the faint hearted; it is a rewarding, but challenging role. You will need to be resilient, patient and be prepared to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the primary phase. Working under pressure is vital for this role, along with a "can do" attitude. We are committed to providing an outstanding education for our pupils and you will be joining a highly professional, caring and dedicated team, if appointed.
We are fortunate in already having a very strong team in place with outstanding colleagues and inspirational leaders, working within excellent facilities.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy, who have an enviable reputation both locally and nationally.

Closing date: Friday 3rd July 2026 at 9.00am
Please note: Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, as applications are received.
