Full Job Description
As a Graduate Building Surveyor you can expect to be working on real projects across both the private and public sector, including education, defence, healthcare, custodial, residential, culture & heritage, retail, sports & leisure and workplace, to name a few. You will be joining a supportive network as part of a national team, where you will receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development. Your core duties will include:
- Supporting the preparation of surveys, designs, reports and contract documents, including drawings.
- General administration of team projects.
- Supporting senior leads with the delivery of projects.
- Managing small / medium sized projects as appropriate.
- Attending meetings/ presentations where appropriate.
- Supporting / undertaking on-site or other survey work.
- Ensuring that you understand and comply with all Health & Safety requirements, practices, and procedures. You will automatically be enrolled on to our early careers programme that covers support towards chartership, along with the necessary soft skills needed when entering the workforce. - A RICS accredited degree of 2:1 or above in Building Surveying (Expected/Achieved).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
- Able to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks.
- Will demonstrate a desire to learn, a hunger for progression and conscientious attitude.
- Be committed to continued professional development and are looking to achieve MRICS statutes within 3-4 years.
- Have previous work experience/placement in a Building Surveying role (desirable, not essential).
