GP - Initial Health Assessments

We are seeking motivated GPs to undertake Initial Health Assessments (IHAs) for Looked After Children (LAC) and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Young People (UASYP). This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by identifying unmet health needs early and supporting improved outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

The role involves delivering comprehensive, child-centred assessments covering physical, emotional, and developmental health, contributing to Health Care Plans, and making appropriate referrals. You will work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated and effective care., Please refer to the supporting information section for full details of the role and a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities., By collaborating closely with GP Members, Patient Safety Partners and wider health and care organisations, combining shared insight and expertise to improve outcomes for local people.

A strong understanding of safeguarding, along with experience working with children and young people, is essential.
