Summary

At OneMedical Group, we are looking for a GP Call Handler to join our team at Brooklands Health Centre in Milton Keynes. As a first point of contact for patients, you will listen carefully, respond sensitively to their queries and help them access the right care and support. You will be part of a supportive, busy team where clear communication, accurate records and a calm approach all help patients receive a professional and responsive service. If you enjoy working with people and can stay organised when demand is high, we would love to hear from you.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a GP Call Handler, you will provide a helpful first point of contact and support the smooth running of the practice. Your day-to-day will include:

• Patient Calls: Answering incoming calls professionally and courteously, listening to patients and handling a wide range of queries with sensitivity.


• Appointments: Booking, amending and cancelling appointments accurately using EMIS.


• Care Navigation: Helping patients access the most appropriate clinician or service and explaining the next steps clearly.


• Administration: Responding to general administrative queries and supporting the wider team where needed.


• Records and Confidentiality: Keeping patient information accurate and up to date while handling sensitive information appropriately.


• Teamwork: Working closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to provide a consistent, patient-focused service.
