Are you an experienced GP currently working in the UK and seeking an exciting opportunity to join our GP Out of Hours service? An opportunity has arisen for a 12 months fixed term post within Wirral Community Trusts GP out of hours service, providing weekday (18:30-08:00) and weekend (24hr) support for the Wirral population. This is a GP led service which provides primary care consultations, assessment and treatment on the phone or face to face. The face to face consultations may be at the centre or on a home visit to the patients home or temporary residence. In addition, it provides an opportunity work alongside Emergency Department colleagues to provide support for face to face adults and children with primary care needs.,

• Provide comprehensive and competent assessment, advice and treatment for primary care problems following relevant guidance where appropriate
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all consultations
• Make appropriate referrals to secondary care or other agencies when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively and supportively with other health care professionals.
• Advise patients of the scope and limitations of the service and direct them to other services where appropriate.
• Prescribe according to national and local evidence based guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate professional standards as defined nationally by General Medical Council and with relevant locally agreed standards
