Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our team for 4 sessions per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for part-time work with a practice that values its staff., Modern facilities: Air-conditioned consulting rooms, EMIS clinical system. Recently refurbished building. Supportive environment: Friendly team, high retention, active social calendar, birthday gift scheme, weekly clinical meetings
Westbury Medical Centre is a friendly, established GP practice in Wood Green, North London, serving approximately 12,000 patients. We pride ourselves on being a traditional yet modern practice with excellent staff retention and a supportive team environment.
Salary:11,000GBP per session, with higher rates considered depending on experience and skillset Sessions: 4 per week (generally these are Monday AM and PM sessions, Friday AM & PM sessions but Tuesday is an option open to discussion with the Surgery),
- Dermatology: One GP Partner runs longstanding weekly dermatology GPSI clinics for Haringey practices at Westbury - excellent opportunity for a permanent GP to develop skills in this area
- Substance Misuse: Westbury is a hub site for Haringey Substance Misuse Shared Care service. Three of our GPs are OST prescribers (methadone and buprenorphine) - opportunity for permanent GPs to get involved (would require RCGP Part 1 Substance Misuse certification in due course)
- Medical Student Teaching: We teach medical students from UCL/Royal Free Medical School, with opportunities to get involved
- GP Training: The Surgery recently became an Approved Learning Environment. We do not currently host GP Registrars, but this is a development area for the Surgery and for a permanent GP with an interest in training, it would attract additional remuneration.
- Digital Innovation: Successful candidates with an interest in digital technology and transformation could support the practice with innovative products (would attract additional remuneration)
- Leadership Connections: One GP Partner is an Appraiser, the other sits on the Board of Haringey Federation and LMC. In this way, our Surgery is regularly aware of developments in primary care
