As a GP at Spilsby Surgery, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care to our varied rural population, working closely with our established clinical team and wider practice staff. You will manage a varied general practice workload, including consultations, clinical decision-making, prescribing, referrals, reviewing results and correspondence, and contributing to the ongoing care of our patients. Collaborative working is an important part of how we work at Spilsby. Our clinicians have protected time for daily clinical discussion, alongside regular weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, providing opportunities to discuss patients, share expertise and support one another. Whether developing a clinical interest, contributing to quality improvement or helping us shape and develop our services, this is a role where you can make a real contribution to both the care we provide today and the practice we are building for the future., As a GP at Spilsby Surgery, you will work as part of our clinical team providing high-quality, safe and patient-centred care to our practice population. You will manage a varied general practice workload and work closely with our GPs, nursing team, advanced practitioners, dispensary and wider practice team. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently but also values being part of a team, sharing clinical knowledge and supporting colleagues. Clinical responsibilities Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking face-to-face and telephone consultations.
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing both acute and long-term conditions.
• Prescribing and reviewing medication safely and appropriately.
• Reviewing and acting on test results, clinical correspondence and other information relating to your patients.
• Making referrals to secondary care and community services where appropriate.
• Undertaking home visits when clinically required.
• Providing preventative care, health promotion and advice.
• Maintaining clear and accurate clinical records.
• Providing clinical advice and support to colleagues where appropriate.
• Working with the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Working as part of the team Teamwork is an important part of how we work at Spilsby. You will take part in our daily clinical discussion time and weekly multidisciplinary meetings, giving clinicians regular opportunities to discuss patients, share knowledge and seek advice from colleagues. We expect all members of the team to communicate openly, support one another and raise concerns when something does not feel right. We want our GPs to contribute to practice discussions and decisions and to bring their own ideas and experience to the team. Quality and patient safety All of our clinicians have a role in maintaining and improving the quality and safety of the care we provide. As part of this, you will:
• Work in line with GMC standards, current clinical guidance and practice policies.
• Take part in clinical audit and quality improvement.
• Contribute to significant event reviews and learning where appropriate.
• Support the investigation and learning from complaints or patient safety concerns relating to clinical care.
• Follow practice safeguarding and infection prevention procedures.
• Work closely with our dispensary and wider team to support safe prescribing and medicines management.
Professional development You will be responsible for maintaining your GMC registration, licence to practise, Performers List status and the requirements for appraisal and revalidation. We support continuing professional development and welcome GPs with existing clinical interests, as well as those who would like to develop an area of interest while working with us. Contributing to the practice We want our GPs to be part of the wider practice, not simply responsible for their own clinical workload. There will be opportunities to become involved in service development, quality improvement, audit and other areas that match your interests and experience. As the practice continues to develop, we want our clinical team to be involved in deciding how we improve our services and the care we provide. • Medical degree recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List., Experience of providing safe, patient-centred clinical care
