We offer a range of learning and development for all employees may you be clinical or non-clinical., The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Directorate is an integral part of the Corporate Care Group and hold a diverse portfolio. A senior team of nurses including the CNO, Deputy CNO, Associate Chief Nurses and Associate Directors of Nursing lead the Patient Experience, Education, Quality Governance, Patient Safety, Risk and Infection Prevention and Control. The teams have a wide range of regulatory functions and provide strategic leadership and operational management within the portfolio. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the different teams who are both clinical and non-clinical, and experience how corporate functions align and support the Clinical Care Groups to provide high quality, safe care to patients and families. There will be an opportunity to attend the committees which feed into the board committees providing the successful candidate a comprehensive understanding of ward to board assurance., The Global Majorities Aspiring Leader programme is a key part of the Trust's commitment to ensuring our leadership is representative of our wider workforce; with around 40% of our total workforce identifying as part of the Global Majority community, and only around 20% of our senior leadership identifying as Global Majority, we have made progress, but we still have some way to go. In support of our commitments, we are now launching our 5^th cohort of placements through this initiative. Successful applicants will work alongside senior Trust leaders by focusing on the leadership of a service area and associated programmes of work. Applications are welcomed from staff identifying as part of the Global Majority community, both clinical and non-clinical. Most placements will be suitable for applicants from Bands 6-8a, but there will be a handful of placements that are more suitable for Bands 5-7 staff (such as in Estates & Facilities and some corporate teams). 7 opportunities are available to work alongside senior trust leaders supporting the leadership of a service area and associated programmes of work. Secondments are available working in the following areas: a. Chief Medical Officer's team b. Single Point of Access c. Chief Nursing Officer's team d. Estates and Facilities e. Strategy & Partnerships

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant equivalent work experience
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
  • Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of leadership and management development, Experience of working at a supervisory/managerial level within an organisation
  • Evidence of commitment to inclusion
  • Experience of supporting and listening to staff at all levels and from multi-professional backgrounds
  • Desirable criteria
  • Experience of developing and delivering staff communication, engagement and teaching programmes, High degree of emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to network and build relationships at all levels, including influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively within a team

  • Knowledge of relevant legislative, policy and procedural frameworks
