George Hotel, Hayfield, High Peak - High Peak
RUN THE GEORGE, HAYFIELD
Community Wet Partnership Opportunity
Overview:
The George is a characterful 16th-century stone-built pub located in the heart of Hayfield village on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, live music events and strong wet sales performance, it attracts a loyal local following alongside visitors exploring the surrounding countryside. With average weekly sales of £12,700 and continued growth in wet sales, this is an exciting opportunity for the right operator to build on a solid foundation.
The business:
This beautiful pub offers three distinct trading areas, centred around a traditional real fire, alongside a quirky and inviting outdoor space. Positioned at the heart of village life, The George benefits from a strong reputation as the locals' pub of choice while also attracting a steady flow of tourists and walkers visiting the Peak District. Key strengths include its established wet-led trade, thriving community presence and successful live music events programme.
The opportunity:
Following an operator transition, the next partner has the opportunity to continue growing an already successful business while becoming an important part of the local community. The strongest growth opportunities lie in developing community events, strengthening relationships with local businesses to attract new visitors and continuing the momentum behind wet sales growth and entertainment-led occasions.
Who we're looking for:
We're looking for an experienced operator, couple or team with strong community engagement skills, a passion for hospitality and the commercial ability to maximise the pub's excellent location. The successful partner will be confident in building local relationships, creating memorable events and driving repeat visits from both residents and visitors alike.
What's in it for you?
22% share of weekly sales excluding VAT, plus a guaranteed annual retained sum of £25,000 released weekly. Low ingoing costs start with a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal cost. Separate owner's accommodation is included, with most bills covered except council tax and TV Licence.
Ready to take the next step?
Run The George and become a valued part of Hayfield village life while growing a thriving community pub business. If you're ready to take ownership of a well-loved destination pub and make your mark within this fantastic Peak District community, enquire today.
