Full Job Description
The Royal Marsden has a vital role in championing change and improvement in cancer care through research, innovation, education, and leading-edge practice. We are incredibly proud of our international reputation for pushing the boundaries and for our ground breaking work, ensuring our patients receive the very best and latest in cancer treatment and care., The Genomics Education and Training Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Operational Managers and the Scientist Training Lead to organise, deliver and maintain educational and training provisions for all roles within the clinical genomics department. This will include developing andmanaging scientific training programmes and resources, including engagement with internal and external training providers. Furthermore, the Genomics Education and Training Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring staff training documentation is completed and appropriately recorded and regularly reviewedin accordance with ISO15189 standards.
As part of our ongoing development, we are seeking an enthusiastic Genomics Education and Training Coordinator to join the Clinical Genomics department. The Clinical Genomics laboratory at The Royal Marsden is part of the North Thames Genomic Laboratory Hub (NT GLH), a key player in cancer genomic testing in England. Based at the Centre for Molecular Pathology in Sutton, a state-of-the-art facility integrating translational science with molecular diagnostics, this role is critical in supporting the education and training needs of our staff.
