The Vacancy

Pharos Generator Services, an RSK Group company, are recruiting for a Generator Engineer to join the team based in South East, South London, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. Reporting into the South West Service Manager, the Generator Technician will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair, and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems, and associated equipment. Our support is carried out at client premises or Pharos sites.

Key tasks include:

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance


• Carrying out diagnostic, testing, and remedial works on generators and associated equipment


• Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system


• Carrying out client site visits


• Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in Generator Engineering of at least 5 years


• Mechanical diagnostic experience


• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar


• Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail
