Join our mission to serve those who serve. Aramark UK is proud to support the Defence sector, and we're looking for a General Service Assistant to join our team at Claro Barracks. What you'll do: As a General Service Assistant, you'll be front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day-to-day will include: Serve food and beverages to customers Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the
work Perform daily paperwork Keeps diligent records as required Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.
What we're looking for: A friendly, customer-focused attitude Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus - but not essential, full training provided Must be 18+ Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required) Food hygiene certificate - Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be provided Basic numeracy skills. Own or reliable transport required due to remote location and limited public transport Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Location: Claro Barracks, Chatham Road, Ripon, HG4 2RD Pay rate: £12.71 per hour (over 21s) Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (1 weekend in 7) Shift times: Combination of early (06:45 - 14:15), middle (08:30 - 16:00) and late (11:30 - 19:00) shifts Why join us?
