Full Job Description
We are looking to appoint a Salaried GP for 6 sessions per week to join our friendly, forward-thinking and supportive practice team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to our practice population, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a GP who is approachable, professional and committed to providing excellent patient care, while also contributing positively to the continued development of the practice. The role will include a mixture of face-to-face and telephone consultations, clinical administration and prescription management, with home visits where appropriate. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously while also being a supportive and collaborative member of the wider practice team.,
- Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations, assessing, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Deal with patient queries and clinical requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Contribute to the management of patients with long-term conditions and develop appropriate care plans in partnership with patients.
- Check and sign electronic repeat prescriptions and deal with prescription queries in a timely manner.
- Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary, using generic prescribing wherever clinically appropriate.
- Complete accurate, clear and contemporaneous consultation records in accordance with practice standards, including appropriate SNOMED coding.
- Complete clinical correspondence, paperwork and administrative tasks arising from consultations in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses, HCSW and the wider administrative team.
- Adhere to practice policies, procedures and clinical governance requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with GDPR and information governance requirements.
- Participate in continuing professional development and maintain an up-to-date portfolio of learning and reflective practice.
- Act professionally and courteously at all times and represent the practice positively.

We have a modern, skill mixed and progressive team consisting of 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 long-term locum ANP's, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCSW, and an excellent and supportive administration team. We use EMIS Web and have access to a range of digital tools to support efficient clinical working, including Lexacom digital dictation, Anima documents and Scribe and Accurx. We benefit from easy and fast access to the M56, M53 and A55, making the practice easily accessible from Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and North Wales. Uniquely, we are located between two hospitals providing secondary care services: - Wrexham, within NHS Wales and Chester, within NHS England. This provides our team with an interesting and distinctive cross-border healthcare environment.
