Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for aGeneral Practitionerto join ourPrimary Careteam atHMP Eastwood Park, a female prison based in South Gloucestershire. The site is located close to the M5 for commuters and is easily accessible from both Bristol and Gloucester. HMP Eastwood Park houses around 442 patients aged 18-76. This role would suit a General Practitioner who is interested in delivering end to end care and has a particular interest in either long term conditions, sexual health or substance misuse. Within this role you will be working with a highly staffed multidisciplinary team providing medical leadership and expert advice. Hours Friday: 17:00 - 21:00 This is a part time role working 4 hours per week, Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
- involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities. We are looking for caring, compassionate but also driven professionals who can help us drive our vision for a fair and inclusive healthcare access to all., MBChB or MBBS - Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
