Full Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced General Practitioners (GPs) to join our Enhanced Access Primary Care Service, with opportunities available on both a Contracted and Bank basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care during extended hours.

You will play a key role in providing safe, efficient, and effective clinical services, ensuring patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 18:00 21:00

Saturday: 09:00 17:00, The GP will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality primary care to patients, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate referral to secondary care where needed.

The role includes managing clinical presentations within primary care scope, requesting and interpreting investigations, maintaining accurate clinical coding to support service outcomes, and providing emergency care when required.

The post holder will collaborate closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues across primary and secondary care, contribute to the development and improvement of care pathways, and support governance, audit, and service quality initiatives.

They will also play an active role in education and training of healthcare professionals, participate in continuous professional development, and ensure compliance with clinical standards, policies, mandatory training, and appraisal processes.
