General Practitioner

As a Salaried GP, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our patients. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, helping people manage their health, prevent illness and access the care they need, while contributing to the ongoing development of the practice.

Cwm Calon Medical Practice is a friendly and supportive training practice serving the Blaenau Gwent community. Led by an enthusiastic team of GP Partners, we care for around 5,500 patients in Abertillery and, following the addition of Aberbeeg Medical Practice, a further 4,500 patients across our two sites. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing practice and help shape the future of primary care in our local Valleys communities. We work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team including District Nurses, Midwives, Health Visitors and Advanced Paramedics.

Cwm Calon & Aberbeeg Surgeries, Abertillery4-6 Sessions | £11,000-£12,500 per Session | 2 Posts Available We're looking for two enthusiastic Salaried GPs to join our friendly and supportive team. Following our recent expansion into Aberbeeg Medical Practice, this is an exciting time to become part of a growing, forward-thinking training practice. You'll work alongside 4 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, GP Registrars, Medical Students, Nurses, Pharmacists and a dedicated prescribing team, all committed to delivering excellent patient care. We offer formal mentoring, regular CPD, opportunities to develop special interests and teaching roles, and a genuine focus on work-life balance. We're conveniently located just 20 minutes from Newport and 40 minutes from Cardiff. The role includes routine GP consultations, clinical administration, participation in practice meetings, and a shared contribution to the duty doctor rota. We offer:
