Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitionerto join ourPrimary Careteam atHMP Stocken,Category C men's training prison based in Oakham. The site supports male patients aged 21+ delivering primary care, mental health and substance misuse services. Suitable applicants for this role will have experience supporting patients with complex long term conditions and substance misuse needs. You will be working closely with the full multi-disciplinary team including 1 additional established General Practitioner and accuracy technicians who manage a caseload of long term conditions patients., Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
- involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities. - Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse

Mon: 09:00-13:00 Wed: 09:00-17:30 Fri: 09:00-17:30 This position is part time,working 20 hrs per week.Flexible working pattern available with the option to work 2 days one week and 3 days the next., Youll receive an annual salaryup to£129,500per annum FTE - depending on experience.
