As a General Operative with 2 Sisters Food Group, you will be handling raw chicken. We understand that working with raw chicken is not for everyone, but if you've ever handled raw chicken at home, then there's really not much difference…we just handle a whole lot more! As a General Operative you'll be expected to:
- Adhere to strict food hygiene practices, regularly cleaning your hands.
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines, looking after yourself and your colleagues.
- Work at a consistent rate to ensure that daily production targets are met. (don't worry, we'll give you time to get up to speed)

Some cutting is completed by machines, some by hand. You will be trained to undertake manual cutting/filleting and salary premiums are available for those who excel.
- Whole Bird - involves dealing with the unportioned birds, seasoning and packing the whole chicken, loading the product into baskets that will then be stacked onto pallets. Attendance expectations will be applied reasonably and in accordance with our obligations under the Equality Act 2010. Any absences will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account individual circumstances. Where you meet the required standards for attendance, conduct, and performance over the full 4-week period, you will be offered a permanent position with 2 Sisters Food Group.
- Honesty - Be open with us, we understand that sometimes your personal life takes priority, so speak to us, let us know…we can try our best to work things out together.

- Teamwork - Work with your colleagues and management, support one another and make everyone's job easier.
- Good Work Ethic - Its fast paced here, don't let your colleagues down., Other than an hourly rate well above NMW (our minimum rate is £13.00), we also pride ourselves on developing staff potential, with many opportunities for in house training along with externally supplied qualifications and support, to help drive your career forward., Subsidised and recently upgraded canteen (hot meals from £1.60).
