General Kitchen Assistant

Senacre Wood Primary School and become part of a friendly team supporting the school's daily lunchtime service. About the Role Working alongside another team member, you'll help serve food to pupils, maintain the dining hall and ensure the kitchen and service areas are kept clean and organised. The food will be prepared at St John's and delivered to Senacre Wood Primary School, so your focus will be on providing an efficient and welcoming service to pupils and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the school's dining areas. You'll work as part of a small team and, once the food containers have been returned to St John's, you may be required to complete the final cleaning and close-down of the service area independently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a school environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is happy working both as part of a team and independently. What You'll Do

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
