Full Job Description
My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a General Foreman to help deliver tunnelling works on a major civil engineering project in Manchester. The successful candidate must have previous tunnelling experience and a strong background in heavy civils. General Foreman Responsibilities:
- Supervising site teams and subcontractors.
- Managing day-to-day tunnelling activities.
- Coordinating labour, plant and materials.
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme.
- Overseeing site operations and monitoring productivity.
- Delivering toolbox talks and maintaining health and safety standards.
- Liaising with Site Management and engineering teams.
- Ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards.
Gold CSCS card. - SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Previous experience as a General Foreman or Foreman on tunnelling projects.
- Strong understanding of tunnelling operations and underground civils.
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Good understanding of RAMS and health and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
