General Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in Amersham HP6 5PF.
You'll have flexibility to work 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during term time only.

We're looking for a positive, honest and reliable General Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team. You'll support the preparation and service of fresh, nutritious and well-balanced meals for pupils and staff in a private school setting, while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service.
You'll help with food preparation, serving, cleaning and general kitchen duties, as well as supporting the team with a range of dietary requirements and preferences. Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. There are also opportunities for development and progression within the team for the right person.

+ Have experience working in a similar role and environment
+ Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
+ Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
+ Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
+ Have excellent customer service and social skills
+ Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
+ Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 9
+ Be customer focused
+ Have basic food knowledge
+ Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
