About the Role

As a General Assistant, you'll support the delivery of a busy and fast-paced school catering service, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene at all times. Working within a school environment that operates similar to a hospitality-style service, you will be part of a team responsible for producing and serving meals to pupils and staff during a structured service window.

What You Do

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages


• Support a high-volume lunch service within a fast-paced environment


• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas


• Replenish food displays and service counters during service


• Support deliveries and ensure stock is stored correctly


• Follow strict food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety procedures


• Provide a friendly and professional service to pupils, staff, and visitors

What You Bring

• A positive and reliable attitude


• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or school kitchen environments


• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment


• Strong teamwork and communication skills


• Good organisation and attention to detail

• This role is Term Time Only. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, providing consistent pay throughout the year, including school holiday periods.
