Full Job Description
The General Accountant is responsible for preparing month-end journals, maintaining the fixed asset register, and managing balance sheet schedules and bank reconciliations. They also provide accurate financial information to management and handle quarterly GST and governmental survey reports.

Job Description Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation schedules Prepare bank reconciliation Provide timely & accurate financial information to management Prepare quarterly GST reports Prepare governmental survey reports Prepare General Ledger journal postings for month-end closing, including prepayments, provisions, allocations, memo accounts etc Maintain & upkeep Fixed Assets Register Monitor new Fixed Assets purchases in compliance with hotel requirements & approved budget Manage the review and commitment of payroll Qualifications Diploma in Accounting / Finance, or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, within a mid-scale luxury hospitality environment, preferably within a international hotel brand. Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant accounting systems or equivalent experience. Relevant
experience in a similar capacity within a hotel or facilities management environment. Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with brand standards.
