Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PWP, OT, Nurse, Social Worker or Psychologist to join our Gateway Team. We are one of the leading national Talking Therapies / IAPT services and we are keen to recruit an experienced clinician who is passionate about service users accessing the right service and having a good experience while they do this. Main duties of the job The post holder will assist our service users in moving smoothly through the referral, treatment and discharge processes within the Talking Therapies service and to and from other services in their designated Borough. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that service users experience ease of entry to and a seamless transition between services, and that service users feel supported to access the right service at the right time even when their needs are complex and may involve input from multiple teams. Your caseload may also include treatment cases appropriate to your level of training as agreed by your line manager. Education/ Qualification/ Training Essential
- Registered Practitioner with a Mental Health background (with a core profession: Counselling psychologist, clinical psychologist, social worker, RMN, RNLD, PWP and OT with secondary care mental health experience)
- Significant post qualification experience Experience Essential
- Experience of Liaising with other services regarding incoming and outgoing referrals
- Experiencing of working on a risk duty system
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Demonstrate high standards in written communication Knowledge and Skills Essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has received training (either formal of through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice
- Understanding of issues surrounding clinical risk
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients Person Specification Education/ Qualification/ Training Essential

Contract: Band 6 12 month fixed-term contract. Full time (37.5 hours per week). Part time job share opportunities are available for existing Newham Talking Therapies staff depending on interest from other applicants.
