Gardener

As a Gardener at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring that the full extent of the grounds and gardens is a high-quality amenity for residents, their relatives and our team., Reporting to the Home Manager, the Gardener is responsible for ensuring maintenance of the garden and grounds to high standard. We want a truly green fingered individual to take charge of our garden and grounds.,

• Be solely responsible for the garden and grounds, overseeing all aspects of planning, purchasing, planting, and maintenance.
• Work with the Home Manager to plan for garden improvements, ensuring the garden flourishes under your care.
• Perform regular garden maintenance tasks, including watering, weeding, pruning, and general upkeep.
• Collaborate with our team to ensure the garden is well-watered, especially during the summer months.
  
  Experience working within a gardening environment is essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of care homes or working with people living with dementia is advantageous.
