Garden Centre Team Member Driver / Warehouse

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver/Warehouse to join our Gardens Centres The successful candidate will be expected to complete home deliveries so should be physically fit as this is a very hand on role and you will need to handle large and heavy loads. Friendly and outgoing van driver proficient in safe operations, passenger transportation and inclement weather driving. Excellent communicator and problem solver with a solid track record in the field. Providing a first class service in our warehouse. The purpose of this role is to provide accurate and prompt picking, packing and dispatch of the depot warehouse. The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately, and as efficiently as possible upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times. Also includes other duties to help maintain the efficient and successful working of the warehouse., Duties will include:

• Ensuring all goods loaded and unloaded accurately match the relevant documentation.
• Taking responsibility for company freight and assets, reporting any suspicious activity or discrepancies.
• Storing, handling, and rotating stock in accordance with established procedures.
• Reporting damaged, missing, or incorrect goods promptly to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors.
• Planning delivery and collection routes in advance to ensure efficient operations.
• Completing stock and fixture transfers between stores as required.
• Driving company vehicles to travel between company sites and, where necessary, to support centres nationwide.
• Transporting staff to and from work when required.
• Assisting with general maintenance tasks and minor repairs around the site.
• Liaising effectively with various departments across the company.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment and ensuring equipment is properly cared for.
• Adhering to workplace health and safety regulations when handling goods and operating vehicles.
• Supporting efficient day-to-day operations by following operational procedures, rules, and schedules.

Experience in retail is essential to the role as is good customer service. Flexible, late nights, early mornings Full clean driving license essential, must be over 25 for insurance purposes.
