Full Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of a Funding and Operations, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., The Funding and Operations Officer will support the delivery of housing-related financial support services, with a particular focus on the assessment and administration of Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP). Responsibilities:
- Assess and process Discretionary Housing Payment applications in line with current legislation, policy and guidance.
- Review supporting evidence and make accurate funding decisions within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate case records and update internal systems accordingly.
- Liaise with residents, landlords and external agencies regarding applications and outcomes.
- Provide advice and guidance relating to discretionary housing support schemes.
- Ensure compliance with council procedures, financial regulations and data protection requirements.
Relevant experience within Housing Benefits, Revenues or financial support services. - Experience assessing Discretionary Housing Payments.
- Knowledge of Housing Benefit and welfare support processes.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures and legislation accurately.
