Full Job Description
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment
Help implement personalised support plans to meet individual pupil needs
Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Promote positive behaviour and support students to engage fully in their learning
Adapt your approach to meet the needs of pupils across both primary and secondary settings
Ideal candidates will:
Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people in education
Be calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Be flexible and adaptable, with the confidence to work across different school settings
Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, care, coaching, or a similar role (desirable but not essential)
Have access to their own transport, as work may be across schools throughout the RCT area
Requirements:
We can support you in obtaining the following if needed:
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service)
Two recent, relevant references covering the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
