Full Job Description

All employees of St Cedd's School have a responsibility for, and must be committed to, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and for ensuring that they are protected from harm. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

St Cedd's School is seeking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic teaching assistant; this is a full time, term time only post, Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00.

Applications are invited from skilled and dedicated individuals with a desire to support the learning of the children at St Cedd's School. An ability/willingness to support the sporting life of the School would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will hold a minimum of a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification and have a desire to ensure that every child achieves their individual best in the classroom throughout their time at St Cedd's School, and will facilitate this through a calm and patient approach whilst also being pro-active and motivated, working as part of our excellent teaching team. In the first instance the successful candidate will be supporting a Year 4 class, but there are opportunities to move around the School in future.

St Cedd's School is an independent co-educational school in Chelmsford for pupils aged 3-11. For more than 90 years, boys and girls at St Cedd's School have been enjoying a quality of education that is among the very best you will find both locally and nationally.

We offer pupils the opportunity to aspire and achieve in a caring environment that nurtures talent and supports individual endeavour whilst also developing a sense of community and key collaborative skills to equip young learners for the demands of the 21st Century.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with skills and experience
