Experteer Overview In this role you'll contribute to building market-leading SaaS insurance software within an InsurTech unit. You'll collaborate with Product to shape backlogs, design scalable solutions, and ensure quality through testing and code reviews. The role emphasizes AI-assisted and agentic development, governance, and delivering real business outcomes. You'll work in a cross-functional, agile environment, focusing on design, architecture, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to shape the deployment of AI-capable engineering practices at scale. Pay / Benefits
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and refine the product backlog Design and build software that satisfies functional/non-functional requirements, leveraging AI coding tools to speed delivery Write and maintain unit tests, test frameworks, and automated test cases Review and debug code to identify defects, bottlenecks, and technical debt Participate in Agile/scrum ceremonies and improve team velocity and engineering practices Assist in incident response and strengthen the platform from production learnings Evolve toward business-outcome focus by partnering with stakeholders and measuring success Define system boundaries, integration patterns, and architectural intent ahead of implementation Write clear, testable specifications and prompts for AI agents and humans to act on Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability Compose and supervise AI capabilities within governed pipelines and quality gates Promote shared, reusable capabilities to accelerate the team Stay current with emerging AI engineering practices and guide the team in adoption Tasks Solid full-stack development experience across modern front-end and back-end technologies with cloud/SaaS exposure Strong grasp of software design, testing and quality fundamentals Experience working in Agile/scrum teams and collaborating with Product Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants or agentic tools, with good judgement on when to trust or override Ability to write clear specifications and prompts and review AI-generated code for correctness and security Curious, self-directed and proactive in exploring new AI engineering practices Comfort with ambiguity and change; passion for complex problem solving, statistics and algorithms T-shaped: deep engineering capabilities with breadth across the lifecycle Desirable: general knowledge of the insurance industry; degree-level education in a relevant discipline Key requirements 25 days holiday + extra wellbeing day private healthcare life insurance group income protection health assessments defined contribution pension with up to 10% company match
