FT Consultant in Medical Oncology (Melanoma Medical Oncology,OTIS,NMS)

This post is for a Consultant Medical Oncologist with an interest in Melanoma, NMS and OTIS, Fixed term for 12 months based in Brighton but with a clinic in Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, so must be prepared to travel between sites. The workload predominantly relates to outpatient clinical activity, with regular commitments to caring for general oncology inpatients and review of patients in the same day emergency care unit as well as taking part in an out of hours oncology on call rota. In addition the post will require clinical leadership, MDT attendance and active participation, medical student and registrar teaching, there will be clinical leadership and research opportunities. (Fixed term reason: Pending appointment to substantive post), The clinical duties of the post include the following: Outpatient Clinics MDM attendance SACT prescribing Clinical trials leadership and delivery Acute Oncology team leadership and clinical management Clinical admin generated from patients seen and liaison with other AHPs, and primary care Clinical Governance meetings Ward reviews when appropriate
