Full Job Description
Purpose of the Role: To lead the delivery of high-quality hospitality services across Marlborough College, ensuring all internal and external functions are delivered to exceptional standards. The postholder will manage front-of-house hospitality operations, supervise and develop hospitality staff, maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and College policies, and support the commercial success and reputation of the Catering Department. Main Duties and Responsibilities: . Responsible for all areas of Hospitality and to assist with the planning, service delivery and execution of all Hospitality events. . Comply with all Department Health & Safety, Allergen Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations in compliance with relevant legislation. . Be an exemplary advocate of Marlborough College Hospitality and ensure that the highest standards of presentation are maintained at all times. You will be encouraged to investigate new trends in the education catering sector. You will be responsible for devising and implementation of initiatives as required. . Responsible for preparing, managing and maintaining staff rotas Common Room Stewards/Hospitality Assistants rota. . Support the Deputy Catering Operations Manager with the provision of Common Room Stewards/Hospitality Assistants to meet operational. . Be one of the Front of House Managers in Norwood Hall as and when required. . Provide hands-on cover for staff shortages as necessary. . Assist the Catering Operations Manager in the security and control of Cellar Stock and ensure all stock issues are correctly managed. . Establish and maintain effective communications with the kitchen brigade and front of house staff to ensure the smooth delivery of Catering functions to meet the Customer's expectations. . Instruct and supervise staff in the correct use of COSHH materials and maintain sufficient stock levels to meet operational requirements. . Ensure all areas within your responsibility are left clean and tidy at the end of each shift in accordance with end-of-day and post-meal routines. . Maintain the Common Room HACCP log and ensure all staff are fully conversant in the correct HACCP procedures and that documentation is compiled correctly. . Liaise with the Deputy Operations Manager to ensure correct levels of small equipment and disposables are maintained to meet operational requirements. Minimum Training: The following training courses are considered to be a minimum requirement for the post and will be planned as appropriate by the College to support the criteria for the role, tasks and duties to be undertaken.

Child Safety Awareness Knowledge and Experience: . Ability to work independently and as part of a team . Understanding of the importance of data confidentiality and GDPR . Reliable and Punctual . Flexibility . Experience providing customer service to a wide range of stakeholders in a similar role . Attention to detail and working to a high standard . Experience in the use of some catering machinery Ability to understand and act on instructions
