Front Of House Assistant

The Front of House Assistant will play a key role in delivering a consistent, high-standard catering service. This includes supporting the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages, while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment in line with company and client expectations.,

• Deliver a professional and efficient front of house service, ensuring a high standard of customer care at all times
• Support the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages in line with Sodexo standards
• Serve customers during service periods, including operating tills and handling transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all front of house areas, including counters, dining spaces, and equipment in line with cleaning schedules
• Ensure food is displayed and served in a clean, safe, and compliant manner
• Monitor and replenish stock levels across service areas to meet operational demand
• Assist with deliveries, including checking goods and recording temperatures in line with food safety requirements
• Record and report customer feedback, incidents, or any irregularities to management promptly
• Support special events and functions as required, and provide cover across different service areas when needed
• Comply with all company and statutory regulations, including health & safety, hygiene, fire safety, and COSHH, This role requires flexibility to support a rotating shift pattern, including weekends, and to assist across different areas of the catering operation as required.

• Strong customer service skills, with a professional and approachable manner
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, standards-driven environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A proactive, reliable, and hands-on approach
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
Desirable:
• Experience operating tills and handling cash transactions
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety practices
• Relevant training or qualifications in catering or hospitality
