Freight Forwarder
Laser Transport International, part of the Currie Solutions Group, is looking for a Freight Forwarder to join our busy Overseas department in Hythe.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the freight forwarding industry, with knowledge of Ocean Freight and/or Air Freight operations. You will have good computer skills and be able to communicate professionally with customers, both verbally and in writing, while working as part of a busy and supportive team.
Due to the location of our office, your own transport is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to customer enquiries.
- Booking shipments with shipping lines, co-loaders and airlines.
- Processing shipments from customer quotation through to arranging transport, completing the associated documentation and final invoicing.
- Working accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.
The successful candidate will be organised, customer-focused and able to work swiftly and accurately to meet deadlines.
Following completion of your training period, your core working hours will be Monday to Friday, 09:00 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.
