At Yeovil College, every learner deserves the chance to thrive. As a Foundation Learning Lecturer, you'll help learners with SEND and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs build confidence, develop essential skills and take positive steps towards their future.
Join our Foundation Learning team and deliver inclusive, trauma-informed and person-centred teaching that makes a real difference. You'll play a key role in tracking progress, maintaining learning plans, supporting wellbeing and safeguarding, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the department. If you're passionate about helping young people overcome barriers, recognise their potential and achieve more than they thought possible, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact at Yeovil College.
Experience teaching learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs, ideally in a post-16 or Foundation Learning setting.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice, with the ability to build positive relationships and support learners to overcome barriers.
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS, DEAT or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one, plus GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
Ability to create engaging, personalised learning, adapt resources and support learners to develop Functional Skills and achieve their goals.
