Foundation Learning Lecturer

Southampton College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Foundation Learning Lecturer to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational educator who is passionate about supporting young people with diverse learning needs to develop the skills, confidence, and independence required for further education, employment, and life.,

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Foundation Learning programmes.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet a variety of learner needs and abilities.
• Support students in developing employability, personal, social and independent living skills.
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and support.
• Create an inclusive and positive learning environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
  
  We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a relevant degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
• Has experience teaching or supporting learners with additional needs, SEND, or Foundation Learning students.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is passionate about learner success and inclusive education.
• Holds a recognised teaching qualification or is willing to work towards one.
• Demonstrates strong organisational and classroom management skills.
