Foundation Learning Lead

We are seeking a passionate Foundation Learning Lead to provide leadership across Early Years, Progression Step 1 and 2. The successful candidate will lead high-quality, play-based and inclusive provision aligned to the Curriculum for Wales, ensuring strong progression, well-being and outcomes for all pupils.

Thank you for expressing an interest in the post of Foundation Learning Lead at Ysgol Bro Taf, our new school in Pontypridd which opened in September 2024 following an £18.5 million investment in 21st century learning facilities. These purpose built spaces reflect our commitment to excellence and provide an exceptional environment for practical, investigative and inspiring science learning.

Nearly two years into our journey, these facilities are being brought to life by a dedicated and innovative staff team. As we move into the next phase of development, we are seeking a lead practitioner who will ensure consistently high standards in science teaching and who will strengthen our approaches to progression and assessment to secure the best outcomes for every learner.

It remains a privilege to lead Ysgol Bro Taf. As an all through 3-16 setting, we are uniquely placed to design coherent progression pathways, and this role will be central to ensuring continuity, clarity and excellence in science learning.
