Summary

Foster Carers (for different fostering schemes)

£305 - £764 per week tax free (depending on the age of the children)

Stockport Council's Fostering Team is looking to recruit foster carers for a wide variety of different fostering schemes who can:

• offer short, respite or long term fostering homes for local Stockport children and young people aged 0 - 18 years


• care for sibling groups of 2 or more children


• provide specialist care to our complex children and children with additional needs

We are actively recruiting foster carers who can care for children aged between 0 - 18 years old who are in short term and long term fostering homes. We are looking for local foster carers who can look after a diverse range of children and young people, particularly for older children and teenagers, brothers and sisters, and children with additional needs. We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate they have the time, availability, space, a spare room, and empathy to offer their home to a local Stockport child or young person.

Our foster carers must be willing to work with a wide age range of children and need to show commitment, understanding, and compassion during difficult times to help children thrive.

We also welcome applications from anyone able to care for sibling groups of 2 or more children, as we aim to place siblings together whenever possible to maintain bonds and promote attachment.

We provide our foster carers with excellent training, support, a tax-free financial package, and benefits. We will guide them through the assessment process and work as a team to meet the needs of both the foster carer and the child.
